This course is for

Anybody who always wanted to learn Spanish, Like you!

Learning a language on your own can be a straggle and a daunting process….

It is easier to learn it with a supportive, experienced and sympathetic native Teacher of the Language within a small group of learners like you where you can practice with each other under the teacher’s guidance. 

Topics covering this course: 

  • Introduction of yourself/ saying who are you, 
  • The Spanish alphabet. / Phonetics & pronunciation. 
  • Nationalities, professions, Relationships/ family / civil status. 
  • Food and drinks/ At the bar and Restaurant; asking for a snack, drink/ ordering a meal. Saying what you want & what you don’t. 
  • Numbers (1 – 100) understanding about currency 
  • Days, Months of the year, seasons. 
  • Weather conditions. 
  • Directions; understanding & giving directions of places 
  • Times: Opening & closing times/ been able to give the time and understand when hearing about it. 
  • Been able to spell your name and understand addresses & telephone numbers. 
  • Accommodation; booking accommodation on the phone, by email or personally on a 1 2 1 basis. 

Among other topics and cultural knowledge of Spain and other Spanish speaking countries.

Class activities are designed to help you understand and use the language to communicate more confidently and effectively, interactive class activities aiming to give you opportunities to practice what have you learnt, communicate effectively with pears and teacher using target language; all language skills are used in classes; speaking, listening, reading & writing. 

Individual work, in pairs or groups; all learners take part on variety range of activities, design to use the language effectively / role-plays / games / puzzles / word search. Video clips / listening material & internet activities. 

Requirements / Additional support  

-You need to bring a pen, paper/ notebook, a ring-binder or folder to keep notes, hand-outs.   

– At the start of the course your teacher will advise you on a course book that you could purchase at any place you like to support your learning. Please do not purchase any course/book beforehand until you get your teachers advise. 

Other relevant information 

The Course also covers relevant information of the language and culture of the country or countries concerned, videoclips of documentaries will be shown during sessions related to topics covered. Social events at the end of course will be organised in accordance with preference with teacher assistance.
